PM Modi directly insulted me…: Rahul Gandhi on Gandhi-Nehru surname row
On Monday, Rahul Gandhi claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had "directly insulted" him in reference to the Gandhi-Nehru surname controversy, asking "Why is your name Gandhi and not Nehru." The senior Congressman also criticised PM Modi for his alleged associations with business magnate Gautam Adani, claiming that during his speech in Parliament, the Prime Minister's "hands were shaking while drinking water." Gandhi stated that while portions of his address in Parliament were deleted, the Prime Minister's purported criticism of the Congress party was still recorded. Gandhi brought up a number of issues relating to the Adani Group of Companies' Hindenburg report during his statement to Parliament.
